Insurance Account Changes Overview
Keeping your information updated when changes in your life occur helps us better manage your insurance account. Accurate information also makes sure that you receive all important communications from Altasurance, as well as your insurance carrier. And in some cases, like removing a driver or vehicle, it may even save you some money!
Before we cover how to update your account, let's go over a few examples of account-level information that you should always keep updated.
- Drivers. Ensure that all drivers of your vehicle is accurate and up to date by adding or removing covered individuals when needed.
- Addresses. The addresses that you have on file - both mailing and billing, are very important to keep updated. Keeping your mailing address accurate will help ensure that you receive important postal mail from Altasurance and your insurance agency. And, your billing address needs to be accurate so that you do not face any issues with payments due to bad info.
- Contact Information. If you get a new phone number or email address please be sure to let us know right away so that we can make the changes immediately. Many important insurance communications may come by phone call, text message or email.
- Marital status. A change to your marital status has an effect on pretty much every aspect of your life - and your insurance is no different. If you get married we will need to add your new spouse where it is required. And, should you get divorced we will need to work with you to quickly make the appropriate changes to your account and make decisions regarding your policies.
So, when you need to make one of these changes - or something else, there are a number of convenient ways to update your insurance account information. Here are a few of your options:
Mobile App
For your convenience, Altasurance clients can access and manage their account from their mobile phone using the Glovebox App, which can be downloaded on any Android or Apple phone.

By Email
When you need a simple change made - like an address or phone number changed, you can always email your primary agent. And, the Altasurance support team members that have been assigned to your account are able to tend to your requests by email, as well.
