Why did the name change from Red Rock Insurance Group to Altasurance?

In the Spring of 2021, Red Rock Insurance Group officially began operating as Altasurance. The name changed to reflect the exciting future we have planned for our company and clients. And, it is also intended to eliminate a lot of confusion that has long existed in the market at large due to numerous other businesses using "Red Rock" as part of their identity.
The name changed, but we are still the same agency, same ownership, the same people, and same agents - and still provide you with the same access to all of our insurance carriers & products.
In early 2021 Red Rock Insurance Group became Altasurance. In part, the name change was – and is, intended to be symbolic of many exciting developments being implemented in an effort to better serve our clients, as well as the communities in which our clients live, work, and worship.

A lot has changed in the world since Red Rock Insurance Group was founded in 2009. And the unexpected chaos throughout 2020 led us to reflect on many of those changes in the world around us, as well as our past, present, and future as a company. In doing so, we identified some opportunities to make many of the things you love about being a Red Rock client even better. We have also put an incredible amount of focus into creating new & exciting ways to serve you even better and provide you with even more value.
We have been designing, developing, and implementing many significant enhancements to how we service and support our clients. So, we wanted to establish our long-term identity to reflect who we are now and our vision for the future.
Additionally, there has long been a lot of confusion created by all of the various businesses with "Red Rock" - or something very similar, as part of their company name. Here in Birmingham, AL the existence of Red Mountain is a big part of the tapestry of our culture & community. And, there are quite a few businesses that have incorporated this into their name and identity. While we certainly loved utilizing a symbol of our home within our own name, the time was right to further distinguish our identity.
