Insurance Claims Help & Support Overview

Altasurance clients can request help with filing an insurance an claim by choosing from several convenient methods.

When accidents happen, acting quickly to take the proper steps can make a significant difference. If there has been an accident requiring emergency attention you should immediately call 911. Your next step should be to contact your insurance agent with Altasurance.

Before we cover how to update your account, let's go over a few examples of account-level information that you should always keep updated.

You have several options for filing a new insurance claim - or checking on an existing claim. Here are your best options:


Mobile App

For your convenience, Altasurance clients can have access to the Glovebox App, which can be used to file insurance claims from your mobile phone. It can also be used to access existing claims data, as well as manage your insurance account. The app can be downloaded on any Android or Apple phone.


Give Us a Call

We are all for modern technology & conveniences, but when you have an accident that may require an insurance claim to be filed we suggest that you call your Altasurance agent. Your Altasurance agent will advise you on what to do - and in some cases not to do, and provide you with guidance for what and when you need to take the next steps. And, in many cases, your Altasurance agent may be able to immediately reach out to your insurance carrier on your behalf so that you can better focus on dealing with the accident, first responders, and any other parties that may have been involved.


By Text

The team at Altasurance is available by text, as well. If you know your primary agent's direct number, then you can reach out to them by text message. However, a scenario that will likely require submission of an insurance claim will require more direct communication. But, a text can be an excellent option for letting your agent know that you need their attention and help.


Your Carrier's Website

If your situation leads to the need for a claim submission it may be necessary for you to do so personally with your respective insurance carrier. However, we advise our clients to contact us before initiating any insurance claims. We work for you - not the carrier. So, we can advise you on how to proceed and, in many situations, may be able to handle much or all claim submission.
